Sports, Politics, and the Oxford Comma

To be or not to be, that is the question for the Oxford comma (if you have to look it up read no further). According to FiveThirtyEight's own survey of 1,129 Americans, the "pro-Oxford partisans" outnumber the "opponents of it's tyranny" by a commanding 57%-43% margin. Guess that makes this writer a winner, even though the Associated Press would disagree. Micah is hiring a Copy Chief for FiveThirtyEight, a.k.a. Nate Silver's website, a.k.a. the place that made polling nerds cool. This is a new role, and main responsibilities include working with story & graphics editors to schedule articles, managing the copy desk, and copy editing and fact-checking articles (woot!). Passionate opinion about the oxford comma is a must.
